Certified Specialist of Wine – Society of Wine Educators
Certificate Level II – International Sommelier Guild (ISG)
Being a travel consultant at Fine Living Enthusiast is a dream come true because I get to “work” with my passions wine, jazz and travel. Since becoming a wine enthusiast about 20 years ago, just about everyday is spent drinking, talking, reading, writing and enjoying the wonderful nectar of the gods and goddesses. My love of wine has developed into a full-blown affair.
After a lengthy career in financial services, I left to pursue my dream of sharing my joy for wine with others through wine education and appreciation classes. I’m able to use this knowledge to help clients plan and book amazing wine, culinary vacations and getaways. I became a Certified Sommelier II in September of 2010. Then, I earned my Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) designation a year later. I’m constantly taking courses and reading about wine to further enhance the vacation experience of my clients. I carefully help my clients with destinations that offer the ultimate wine and food adventure mixed in with local culture and attractions.
My love of jazz started at an early age when my father “baptized” me with jazz recordings of the greats. So, whether I’m sitting in an airport waiting for a flight or on the patio with my laptop, the jazz music is a constant groove in the background. If you want to enjoy a jazz event, I’m the perfect person to help you plan a jazz cruise or a jazz club getaway.
I started writing in 6th grade as the Editor of my grade school newspaper. Since then, I’ve written a host of articles for local, regional and national newspapers and magazines. I blog as The Wine Gospel and as The Travel Gospel.
Meet Stephanie Terry
I became a travel consultant in 2008 and use my extensive travel experiences and cooking expertise to help travelers create their dream vacations. Have you always dreamed of taking cooking classes in Italy? Would you like to join an escorted Tuscany cooking school tour or do you need help planning a customized anniversary escape? How about a France food and wine trip?
I’m a true food aficionado. Although I’ve taken culinary course and baking classes, my real cooking “chops” were earned while standing over the hot stove and a sizzling barbecue grill preparing delicious meals for family and friends.
Ask me about some of my favorite restaurant meals and I will engage you in a five-minute conversation about the preparation techniques used, seasonings, cut of meat, appearance and of course flavors of the meal. Naturally, I also always have ideas for slight improvements and alterations.
As a foodie, I have the expertise to plan an epicurean fine dining tour. I can plan a customized itinerary that includes luxurious accommodations along with exquisite fine dining in the city of your dreams.
Need ideas on the best islands to sample rum? Having lived in Puerto Rico and traveled throughout the Caribbean, I’ve earned a reputation as the “Rum Bunny”. Need a restaurant idea while in Maui? I can provide several and give you entrée suggestions.
